Professor of Management
Professor Woodrow was raised in Pennsylvania and earned his bachelor’s degree at David Lipscomb College (now Lipscomb University), where he was a member of Phi Alpha Theta national honor society. After graduating, he spent the summer smuggling Bibles across the former Iron Curtain and into Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and Poland. He later earned master’s degrees at Peabody College and the University of Southern California (USC), ultimately earning his doctorate at Vanderbilt University.
Early in his career, while living in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and California, he worked in a variety of settings, including the family furniture business, retail foods (as a union member), the resort industry, logistics (UPS), and residential real estate (as a licensed realtor). Since completing his doctorate, Woodrow has spent much of his career in higher education, first in administration and later in teaching. Over the years, he has also consulted to schools and colleges, churches, city councils, and businesses; spoken at management and marketing conferences; published articles in professional journals; and contributed toward books on robotics, management, and higher education.
Internationally, Professor Woodrow has lived and worked in London, England; consulted to organizations headquartered in Denmark, South Korea, and Taiwan; and visited more than 90 countries around the world. He now lives in Redondo Beach, California.
